PPFV’s (often generically referred to as HRV systems) have been around for around 15 years with some 300,000 installed systems across Australia and New Zealand. These systems represent the best solution for energy efficient, healthy, “set and forget” ventilation.
inAIR offers a comprehensive range of PPFV’s
iA85 – The great all round filtered ventilation system
The inAIR AQ85 is an automated, thermostatically controlled, F8 filtered, positive pressure, ventilation system. This is our most popular product and will solve most air quality, mould, condensation and internal dampness issues in the typical Australian dwelling. You may see these systems referred to as HRV or ERV systems. This standalone ducted whole house system is scalable for any sized dwelling. This system can be installed using ceiling, wall or floor mounted diffusers.
In a typical Australian home the heat recovered from the naturally (and free) heated roof cavity is a phenomenal supplementary heating source. In summer, in some homes the reduction of internal relative humidity enables a cooler, more comfortable environment. In other zones, cool night air can be introduced in summer for night time cooling
iA85i – Integrate your ducted aircon with an efficient, filtered ventilation system.
The inAIR AQ85i is an automated, thermostatically controlled, F8 filtered, positive pressure, ventilation system. This is product will solve most air quality, mould, condensation and internal dampness issues. This product is designed to be integrated with existing (or future) ducted reverse cycle air conditioning or gas heating systems. Given the typical duct diameter used in heating/cooling systems, the airflow will need to be boosted (via additional fans) to ensure maintenance of adequate pressure.
iA99 – Upgrade your system to HEPA filtration
The inAIR AQ99 is an automated, thermostatically controlled, HEPA filtered, positive pressure, ventilation system. Essentially this is the same system as the AQ85 system but is supplied with HEPA grade filters. When upgrading to HEPA filters, additional fan power is required as the resistance generated by the finer filtration reduces airflow.
This product will solve most air quality, mould, condensation and internal dampness issues. This product is a recommended upgrade for customers looking for the best possible air quality with reduced microscopic particle counts. Chronic asthma sufferers will typically choose this upgrade.
iA SMOKE upgrade
The iAS upgrade is available for all systems. This upgrade provides active carbon filtration for smoke and odour capture/filtration.
iALite – Ventilation for Noise Control
This system is a “lite” version of the iA systems above, which is specified to provide the minimum ventilation level required to meet standards. These systems are often installed by government and other authorities where say a new airport, transport system or road has been constructed and double glazing and other sound attenuation measures have been implemented. Many of the solutions offered for this purpose are frankly cheap rubbish that are noisy, ineffective, unattractive and generally mean home owners turn them off. Many of the systems typically installed do not have any filtration – yet there is a very clear and demonstrable nexus between transport noise and particulate pollution.
Remember – the only reason to install double glazing is to keep the windows closed!
